President/CEO - Diane Spencer, MBA Diane Spencer, founder of Distinctive Marketing Inc., has over twenty years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry where she received national recognition in a major publication as one of the Top 100 Women in Corporate America, and a “Woman to Watch”.She was formerly with two of the top pharma companies: Schering-PloughInternational and Bristol-Myers Squibb where her positions included Director of Strategic Planning and Director of Market Research. Prior positions included sales, product management, and business development including an assignment abroad in Lucerne, Switzerland as Market Planning Manager for Schering’s dermatological products.
Ms. Spencer holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from Rutgers University, and an MBA with a concentration in Business Planning from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She has also taken post-graduate courses at the Amos TuckSchool of Business, Dartmouth College, and the University of Michigan, Graduate School of Business. A frequent speaker on marketing topics at colleges and professional organizations, she was formerly an adjunct Professor of Market Research at William Paterson University.
V.P. Client Services – Edward Hamilton Ed has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree from Montclair State University. He joined Distinctive Marketing in 2001 after spending over 20 years in corporate sales and marketing positions at a major Fortune 500 company.At Distinctive Marketing, Ed is involved with cultivating and managing new and existing client relationships, managing special accounts and tracking healthcare trends including Managed Care, Account able Care Organizations and Ambulatory InfusionCenters.
V.P. Business Development - David Feldman
David has a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the University of Maryland and an MBA with a concentration in Global studies. He joined DMI in 2009 after spending over 15 years in the hospital and medical device industries. His background includes market and product development in several European, Asian and Latin Markets. At DMI, Dave is responsible for developing new business opportunities in the global, medical device, pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
V.P. Marketing Communications– Valerie Brown Baul, MBA Valerie is an innovative marketing strategist with over twenty years of experience in all phases of product life cycle management, business development and strategic planning. She has a strong communications background from such prestigious corporations as Bell Atlantic/Verizon, AT&T, and Dow Jones/The Wall Street Journal. She has created and taught diversity courses at Rutgers University and is currently an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at Wilmington University. She has also taught Marketing, E-commerce and Advertising as an Adjunct Professor at Delaware State University, University of Delaware and Springfield College.Valerie has a BA in Business Management Information Systems from St. Leo University, St. Leo, Florida, and MBA with a concentration in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
V.P. Strategic Planning/Educational Markets - Gloria J. Grantham, Ph.D. Dr. Grantham holds a Ph.D. in educational administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a Post-Doctorate Certificate from Harvard University. She specializes in school and classroom discipline, the teaching and learning process, and the administration of urban public, and public charter schools. Dr. Grantham began her career in the classroom where she taught high school and middle school science. She was a district supervisor and a high school principal before moving to higher education where she was a Dean at three institutions. Formally employed by Howard University where she taught in the Doctoral Program in Educational Administration, she is also the former CEO and Superintendent of the Chester Upland School District in Chester, PA. She currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Moyer Academy Charter School, DE, and Chairs the Board of Directors for the West Chester United Methodist Church's Early Childhood Center.
Senior Account Executive - David Bullock David holds a B.S. Degree from Virginia State University where he majored in Microbiology/ Chemistry. Prior to joining Distinctive Marketing in 1997, David spent 18 years in the pharmaceutical industry in positions as Director of Regulatory Affairs, Director of Quality Assurance, and Quality Control Laboratory Manager. Manager, Hispanic/Latino Markets – Maria Perez, MSW Maria has a B.S. in Spanish Language and Literature and a Masters in Education from Montclair State University.A native of Puerto Rico, Maria has been a consultant with Distinctive Marketing since 2001 where as a member of the Amber Group, Maria isresponsible for marketing communications and strategies for reaching the Hispanic/ Latino markets. This includes moderating, translating and interpreting Spanish language information.
Manager, Diversity Marketing - Margaret Douglas Margaret has twelve years of diversified marketing communications experience including a counseling background in Women's Health and nutrition. Margaret received her marketing education from Southern California University and joined Distinctive Marketing in 1997 where she conducts telephone, mail and one-on-one, in-depth interviews. As a member of the Amber group, she coordinates studies and develops strategies for reaching the fast growing Hispanic, Asian and African American markets. Field Service Supervisor - Carol Beckett Carol joined DMI in 1990 and oversees the field services and phone center departments.Her responsibilities include screening and recruiting respondents for marketing research, testing and tracking study results, and providing recruiting schedules to clients.She is also responsible for coordinating data entry of all questionnaires, verbatim responses and statistical data tables. Field Service Associate – Lois Scott Lois joined DMI in 1999 and works in the field services and phone center departments. Her responsibilities include screening and recruiting respondents for marketing research and clinical trial studies, and conducting interviews with respondents on various topics.She is also responsible for inputting data entry of all questionnaires, verbatim responses and statistical tables.
